Our Services
Organisations
We provide two groups of services to organisations of and serving our Priority Groups;
Community Empowerment and Network Support.
Community Empowerment
This is our programme of Organisational Development support for community groups formed by members of our priority groups and has three elements
- An Information and Advice Service which sustains groups through issues of governance and management, fund-raising and general problem-solving on issues such as staffing, premises and accounting. In 2009, 365 groups had some significant contact with the service (usually a meeting) on 764 occasions
- An Incubator facility offering free office and computer facilities to emerging community groups so they can establish themselves without the expense of renting space and facilities full time.18 groups made more than occasional use of the facility in 2009.
- Training courses, mainly for management committees on how to run their community groups
