Matt Hodge - Biographical Note

Hi, I’m from Scunthorpe (Scunny) and first came to Liverpool to do a Degree in Geology in 1999. After completing this I went back to Scunthorpe and worked between jobs but realised that I would like to return to Liverpool. I moved back in early 2003 and did my first I.T course as well as having the idea of participating in some I.T and related voluntary work to keep me busy and to gain some experience along with my course. My first and best placement was at the old Peoples Centre on Hardman Street. Here I met people who I now luckily still know and work with at the present site. I was taken on in October 2006 by LNFC as a Community Empowerment Worker to help run and manage the Incubator. I was volunteering for the Peoples Centre before this and continue to do so. Before my employment I’ve been involved in several voluntary projects and employment mainly to do with I.T and computing/technical. During this time I’ve also been building up my I.T qualifications alongside my work experience.
