Our Assistant Director was born in South
Wales and is fluently Welsh-speaking. Mandy was brought up in Bedfordshire
where she later studied at her local college and achieved, principally,
A Levels in Business Studies and Communications, Commerce and Office
Practice.
There then followed a varied and
successful career in company administration in
a managerial capacity within the private sector in the south of
England, gaining a wealth of experience in a wide variety of industries.
After moving to Merseyside and a gap in her career
for dedicated motherhood, during which she became fully qualified
as a Classroom Assistant, Mandy
re-established her career, firstly, as a volunteer for Marie Curie,
and further into the voluntary sector by joining LCVS in 1999.
Mandy then went on to help co-found Liverpool
Network for Change,later to becomeMerseyside Network for Change; alongside Edward Murphy OBE, the Director, and
has played an integral part in its development ever since. She is
responsible for maintaining our office systems, records, accounts,
etc and general co-ordination. Mandy also acts as the Secretary on behalf of Merseyside Refugee Support
Network.
