Mandy Maloney - Biographical Note

Our Assistant Director was born in South Wales and is fluently Welsh-speaking. Mandy was brought up in Bedfordshire where she later studied at her local college and achieved, principally, A Levels in Business Studies and Communications, Commerce and Office Practice.

There then followed a varied and successful career in company administration in
a managerial capacity within the private sector in the south of England, gaining a wealth of experience in a wide variety of industries.

After moving to Merseyside and a gap in her career for dedicated motherhood, during which she became fully qualified as a Classroom Assistant, Mandy
re-established her career, firstly, as a volunteer for Marie Curie, and further into the voluntary sector by joining LCVS in 1999.

Mandy then went on to help co-found Liverpool Network for Change, later to becomeMerseyside Network for Change; alongside Edward Murphy OBE, the Director, and has played an integral part in its development ever since. She is responsible for maintaining our office systems, records, accounts, etc and general co-ordination. Mandy also acts as the Secretary on behalf of Merseyside Refugee Support Network.
